DEVPOD SERVICES GIVES SOFT SKILLS TRAINING TO ARTISANS IN THE GREATER ACCRA REGION

Forty artisans in the Greater Accra Region participated in the maiden Devpod Soft Skills Training for artisans on Saturday 26th November, 2022. The training programme aimed at equipping artisans with the requisite soft skills like personal finance, personal branding and customer excellence for their career development and was organised by Devpod Services Limited.

The programme drew artisans from the various disciplines like auto repair, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tailoring, HVAC, Publishing, steel bending and masonry.

The Chief Executive Officer of Devpod Services Limited, Mr. Eri Ansong Preko said “this programme underscores our commitment to our community and our customers, with the artisans being a key stakeholder in our service delivery to our customer. By giving artisans these needed skills, the ultimate winner is the customer. It’s our aim to positively change the narrative around artisans by equipping them with the relevant skills”.

Devpod’s Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Stephen Kingsley Tawiah said “this training programme is all about social impact for us. Our vision is to train up to 5000 artisans by 2025, and the next step is formulate our certification modules, which we are going to develop with the various TVET stakeholders”.

He added that “it is about raising the standards of the artisan trade in Ghana. We want our artisans to be able to compete globally. We will champion this cause”.
